On July 16, 2023, we said goodbye to Carl Sneed, our beloved Dad, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Pops. Born in Campbellsville, Kentucky, on June 15, 1942, Carl brought a spark of wit and charm into the world that never ceased to shine. Moving from his birthplace to North Anson, Maine, Carl carried with him his loving heart, his thoughtful nature, and his supportive spirit, qualities that made him the incredible man we all cherished. Carl was a farmhand by trade, working in the heartland of American agriculture. He was an embodiment of the hardworking, resilient spirit that defines our nation's farming community. Carl was also a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in fishing and watching westerns. He had a saying for everything, his signature "yea boy" becoming a cherished part of his remarkable character. His heart of gold was evident in his willingness to do anything for anyone, and his sweet, likable nature made him a joy to be around. Above all, Carl was a family man. His love for his family was paramount, a testament to his dedication, affection, and unwavering love. Carl is survived by his granddaughter, Jerrica (Jonathan) Quimby; daughters, Tammy (Jerry) Kennard, Trina Summers; sons, Rick Sneed, Jerry (Sally) Sneed, Josh Sneed. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were blessed to know and love him. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Nellie Sneed. A celebration of Carl's life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 2:00pmEDT at 679 River Road, North Anson, Maine, 04958.
