Fairfield – Brock Channing Peters, 29, passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday May 22, 2024, in Norridgewock. Brock was born on September 4, 1994, in Waterville, son of Victoria Bavelaar and Dale Peters. Brock graduated from Lawrence High School and was currently attending Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield, pursuing a degree to become a Substance Abuse Recovery Counselor. He worked at Augusta Recovery and Re-entry Center helping people in recovery find opportunities (work, housing, etc.) so they could continue living their best life substance free. Brock was baptized June 10, 2023, and continued his path with the Lord. He became a deacon at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Corinna. He also set up bible studies through his employment at ARRC. Brock loved to work on cars, or any engines really. He loved hunting, the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, but ultimately was passionate about helping others through recovery and serving the Lord. He was predeceased by his father Dale D. Peter, grandparents Daniel and Joyce Bavelaar, and his grandmother Sally Mitchell Peters. Brock is survived by his mother and stepfather Victoria Bavelaar and Michael Cilley; stepmother Tara Peters Palmer; brothers Ty Peters and Stokes Cilley; sister Ali Lyn Peters; grandfather Dolan Peters. aunt Amy Peters, with whom he had a special bond; close friend Kiera Burnell; girlfriend Ms. Jinky Cardero, with whom he was planning to build a future with; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and a wonderful church family who will all miss him greatly. He also leaves behind Pastor Roger and Wendy Belanger who brought Brock into their home with open arms and unconditional love and became his second parents. There will be a Memorial Service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Ridge Road in Fairfield on June 10, 2024, at 1:00PM.
