Fairfield – Brian "Buzzy" Karkos, 80, passed away at home on July 19th, 2025, surrounded by his family and loving wife of 43 years, Georgia Karkos. Buzzy was born and raised in Wilton where he and Georgia resided for over 40 years in the home he proudly built. Later in life, they relocated to Fairfield to be closer to family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, his two brothers, his son James Karkos, and his granddaughter Kimberly Sono. Buzzy is survived by his brother Dave Karkos and his wife Irene; children Paul Harmon and his wife Louann, Lisa Cabelin and her husband Michael, Sally Guptill and her husband Todd, Elizabeth Doyen and her husband Melvin, and Rick Karkos and his wife Theresa; his grandchildren Joshua Karkos, Justin Karkos, D'Angelo Steward, Bobbiann Harmon, Thomas Harmon, Derek Grayson, Dylan Grayson, Chad Guptill, Devin Guptill, Zachary Guptill, Jonathan Doyen, Christopher Doyen, Kaitlin Kelly, Britlin Mains, Denise Karkos; his great-grandchildren Nathan Karkos, Sebastian Steward, Camden Steward, Madison Steward, Brandi Steward, Liam Harmon, Aliyah Harmon, Olivia Guptill, Kinsley Guptill, Charlotte Guptill, Evelyn Guptill, Addison Guptill, Lincoln Guptill, Ariyah Doyen, Aaliyah Doyen, Aubrey Doyen, John Kelly, Miyah Kelly, Lee Mains; and two great-grandchildren Zaire Mukes and Kehlani Worshom.
