Pittsfield – Brenda Elinor (Howes) Fanjoy, 78, went to sing with the Lord and those who passed before her on November 12, 2023. Brenda was born on July 3, 1945, in Knox, Maine, daughter to Elinor Lucille (Gardiner) and Carl Harold Howes. She graduated high school from Glen Cove Christian Academy in Glen Cove, Maine. Continuing her studies at New Brunswick Bible Institute and Trinity College in Florida she earned her bachelor's degree in Christian Education. She married the love of her life, Lyman Fanjoy on May 30, 1981, and raised 5 beautiful children together. For over 20 years Brenda was a substitute teacher primarily for SADD #53 District. She spent her lifetime devoted to the Lord with an incredible love for music. She played several instruments, loved teaching piano, and in her younger years, led the music program for the Fair Haven Camps in Brooks, Maine. As a faithful member of Winnecook Christian Church she was very social and for many years participated in a weekly luncheon with ladies from church at Patterson's Store in Burnham. Brenda was a loving mom, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and cherished friend. She loved to travel with her husband Lyman and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda was well known for her generosity to others and her great sense of humor. She spent her last days with her family by her side enjoying her favorite foods, songs, and prayer. She is predeceased by both her parents and also her sister Janice Teague. Brenda is survived by sons Ralph Hirtle with wife Audra of Cherryfield Maine and Jerry Fanjoy with partner Natalie of Waterville Maine, daughters; Alesandra Champluvier of Kentucky, Jeri-Lynn McFarlin with husband Hank of Dixmont, Maine, and Wendy Mosher of China Maine, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Joyce Straub and Patricia Trundy, as well as brother David Howes. Funeral Service will be held at Winnecook Christian Church, 4 Chapel Lane, Burnham, Maine, 04922, on November 18, 2023, at 12:00pm.
