Skowhegan – Brad William Lowe, 65, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brad on September 17, 2025, at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and devoted family man.
Brad worked as a skilled hand sewer in his earlier years before pursuing a career as a cook. This took him to many different establishments where he shared his love of food and hospitality with countless people. He also enjoyed working and making beautiful wreaths.
Brad will be remembered for his love of gardening, fishing, and playing chess and cribbage, often participating in tournaments with his brother Lance. Brad was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time on the course. He was also a fan of horse racing, cheering on his favorite ponies and enjoying the thrill of the race.
Brad was known for his quick humor, easy laughter, comedic spirit and his loving nature brought joy to those around him. He cherished time with family and friends, and his legacy will live on through the memories of his passion for life.
Above all Brad's greatest treasure was his faith in Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. His family finds comfort in knowing their parting is temporary and that Brad is Home and whole in the presence of his Lord.
Brad is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Kelly (Searles) Lowe; son Holden Lowe; stepdaughter Tia Poulin with her husband Gary; mother June Lowe; brothers Craig Tozier with his wife Jenny, Lance Lowe with his wife Barbara, and Shane Lowe with his wife Anne; sister Darsie (Lowe) Couturier with her husband Dan; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on October 6, 2025, at 11:00am, at the East Skowhegan Cemetery on Oak Pond Road in Skowhegan. After we will gather at the United Methodist Church located at 113 Dr. Mann Road in Skowhegan.
Everyone is welcome to join us for a small lunch with fellowship to share memories and continue celebrating Brad's life.
