Andrea Shaw Alden, age 58, passed on February 3rd 2026. She was the beloved mother of Abigail Alden of Maine and Nick Alden of California. She was the sister of Lynne Butterfield and the daughter of the late Helen and Charles Shaw.

Andrea grew up in Chelmsford Massachusetts but lived in Maine for many years. She was a dedicated and caring Registered Nurse at both the Inland and Riverview Hospitals for 30 years. Andrea enjoyed live music, nature, being active, and time with family. She was a member of the Augusta West Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

There will be no calling hours, burial will be private. Donations can be made in her memory to the Humane Society Waterville Area.
