Newport - Alicia S. McFarland, 46, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024, at Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital. Alicia was born on May 19, 1977, in Waterville, the daughter of Richard and Mona (Brayley) McFarland. She was a graduate of Nakomis Regional High. She was a Girl Scout for nine years and used to bowl, winning many trophies. She worked at Pat's Pizza, the Maine Veteran's Home, and the Salvation Army, Newport. She was predeceased by her father Richard McFarland, grandparents Lewis and Lillian Braley, and Ralph and Daureen McFarland. Alicia is survived by her mother Mona (Brayley) McFarland of Newport; sons Tre and Ty Ewings of Newport; uncle Rodney McFarland and wife Rochelle of St. Albans; aunt Sherri Rogers of Pittsfield; and several cousins. She will be lovingly missed. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
