Obituary

Cannan – Alfred A Gervais, 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Cannan, Maine, on January 29th, 2024. Alfred was born on September 25th, 1958, son to Charlotte (Greenwood) Poirier and Alfred W. Gervais. He attended Waterville area schools and earned his GED in 1995. In his early years he worked several jobs including construction, Harris Bakery, as a carney through Smokey's Greater Shows, as a cab driver through different companies. Most recently working for K's Taxi since 2020. Cab driving was his favorite. Putting smiles on customers' faces was what he did best. Alfred enjoyed spending time in the outdoors 4-wheeling and fishing. He loved to joy-ride with his favorite music blasting on the radio and his windows rolled down. Bingo was his game of choice and he never passed up a chance to grab a scratch ticket. Alfred adored his family and friends and loved spending time with them. He was predeceased by both his parents, stepdaughter Elizabeth (Perkins) Munster of Waterville, brother Raymond Gervais of Waterville, sister Theresa Gervais of Portland, and best friend Lawrence "Larry" Peace of Fairfield. Alfred is survived by daughters Casey (Foss) Gallant of Fairfield, Amber Gervais of Fairfield, and Tameka Beattie of Topsham; son Coby Foss of Clinton; step-daughter Natasha Perkins of Waterville; grandchildren Tyler Bragdon of Waterville, Jennifer Levesque of Skowhegan, Austin Vicnaire Bragdon of Winslow, Chaseon Perkins of Waterville, Emily Brownstein of Sidney, Kaylee Foss of Waterville, Briannah Taylor of Waterville, Aydan Taylor of Waterville, Jazlynn Bernier of Fairfield, Emmalyn Goldsmith of Fairfield, Coby Foss Jr. of Clinton, and Jordan Goldsmith of Fairfield; great-grandchildren Rosalie Bragdon of Waterville, Wesley Labbe of Skowhegan, Aira-Bella Bragdon of Waterville, Maci Labbe of Skowhegan, and Reagan Labbe of Skowhegan; siblings Joyce (Gervais) Dreilling of Texas, Scott Gervais of Waterville, William "Will" Palmer of Norridgewock, and Amanda (Gervais) Smith of Norridgewock; along with close friends Michael "Mike" Grivois of Cannan and Michael "Mike" Curran of Fairfield. A Celebration of Life for Alfred will be held on Saturday, February 24th, 2024, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the VFW located 51 Water Street in Waterville. Interment will take place at a later date.
